    Wednesday Wisdom: Easter Reflections

Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island, Florida If you are like us you find yourself in another week, caught up with meetings, projects and deadlines with the feeling there isn‚Äôt enough time to get it all done. Unlike other weeks, Easter provides a unique opportunity to put it all in perspective. The reality is we will never ‚Äúget it all done‚Äù and yet it is already finished! What appears as a contradiction is a recognition that we don‚Äôt have the capacity in ourselves to work harder or ‚Äúdo more‚Äù to meet all the demands on the schedule to satisfy everyone - but we can have the confidence to sustain another hectic week when we shift our focus and lift our eyes to a Hope beyond as we look to the Cross. While the Cross is a prominent symbol connected to Easter, we have to personally make the connection with the significance and sacrifice on the cross or we‚Äôll approach this week like the other 51 on the calendar. Love God. Love People. Do Work. It‚Äôs one of the principles of Cape House that brings us back to the foundation of it all. It starts with God. It starts with the author of perfection who was willing to give His one and only Son on the Cross to take every fear, failure and imperfection and turn it into a masterpiece. You may not feel like it, but you are God‚Äôs masterpiece. Not just today and not just this week! Every breath you take you are created anew in Christ to do good things He has planned for you. So take a moment, wherever you find yourself and let this truth sink in. Know that when you place your trust and faith in Jesus He will align this week (and every week) accordingly. If you have never experienced a Hope beyond yourself we encourage you to check out an Easter service this weekend. If you don‚Äôt have a church home we would love to invite you to join us at The Journey Church. Happy Easter Week! Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island, Florida

    The Masters: Entertaining Ideas

    The Masters: Entertaining Ideas

It’s that time of the year again, when the world’s best golfers make the pilgrimage to Augusta National for our favorite golf event of the year: The Masters. What’s not to love about rounds of golf played against Spring’s first blooms, Sunday in Amen Corner, and those (cheap) pimiento cheese sandwiches? There’s just something about The Masters that is truly special to those who grew up in the South - and beyond. For us, it’s the unofficial kick-off to Spring, and we like to celebrate as such. Pimiento cheese, egg salad, and of course, Arnold Palmers - we’ve collected our favorite Pinterest ideas to for this weekend’s festivities. Take a look below (and follow us on Pinterest to see the full board):

    Introducing: Cape House

Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island Florida We have a big announcement, friends! Introducing Cape House: a home and hospitality boutique coming Summer 2017 to the south end of Amelia Island. The culmination of a dream for founders ‚Äì and Fernandina Beach locals ‚Äì Wes and Tiffany Hinton and Lance and Lauren Jones, Cape House will specialize in furniture, housewares, serve ware, and more ‚Äì all the items that make a house a home. Tiffany, interior designer and founder of Lola Interiors, has long dreamed of owning a retail location to bring the style and selections her clients love to the Amelia Island market. The Jones, who returned to the area in 2011, also believed they‚Äôd own a store one day - although with a hospitality (and gourmet cheese-heavy!) focus. As they became closer as friends, they realized they shared this vision ‚Äì and began the work to make it a reality together. But, before we start at the culmination of this dream ‚Äì let‚Äôs start at the beginning, where the concept was inspired: an anniversary trip to Cape Town, South Africa. Upon arrival in March 2016, the Jones and the Hintons immediately fell in love with everything about the town ‚Äì the scenery, the architecture, the color schemes, the crisp, coastal-chic style around every corner ‚Äì really everything! Blown away by its beauty, they felt completely at ease ‚Äì able to completely disconnect from their every day, embrace rest, and focus on the future, namely, this store concept. Conversations over glasses of Pinotage led to discovery of the root behind the whole concept ‚Äì their passion for meaningful and spiritual relationships and where they begin: in the home. By combining Lance‚Äôs love for the gourmet and Tiffany‚Äôs love for interiors, their dream took shape as Cape House! Today, March 3rd, marks one year since their return ‚Äì and it‚Äôs been business planning, and selecting products ever since. We can‚Äôt wait to share more! Stay tuned.   Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island Florida Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island Florida Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island Florida Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island Florida Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island Florida Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island Florida Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island Florida Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island Florida Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island Florida Cape House | Home and Hospitality | Amelia Island Florida
